Help puppy's and who to contact for hurt animals on the road-
Friendicoes is as usual under financial strain due to a jump in the dog population at the shelter. The 30 odd puppies at friendicoes could do with another meal. The plan is to supplement their diet with boiled eggs.A crate of 30 eggs costs 70 rupees,if any of you want to sponsor a crate do let me know.We want to make this a regular affair. So help out.
p.s: there are alot of abandoned dogs looking for homes. So if you're looking to adopt, drop by.
call:

regarding a question about stray animals hurt on the road and whom to call. i personally would suggest calling tandrali @ friendicoes- her number is 9899351910. take my reference. or just call Fiza@ 9810522244. we'l work something out.
A LOT of animals are in trouble all over delhi at any given point of time...volunteers and resources for organisations like Fr and jeev are really limited.

message from aleeya...big help
"hi,
i got your message about people complaining about not being able to get their pets adopted. since i've been there myself, i thought i'd share with you a few things that might help.
firstly, most people tend to put their posters up in places like khan market, but the thing is that most people who go to khan market are middle-class or upper middle-class, and thus usually very breed conscious. so i'd suggest putting up a bunch of posters in more local markets in colonies, etc. secondly, what worked for me was actually taking the pups in a comfortable, pretty basket, to a busy market, with a big banner saying 'adopt me' or something of the sort. both the pups i took, found homes within an hour. of course you'll need to get contact details from the adopters and make sure they're not being fickle..
hope this helps!"
thanks aleeya

Apso crisis
"The crisis of the moment is that , well, the entire story is too long, but there is an Apso with 8 day pups, all 5 are male pups, that urgently need a home because the people the Apsos are living with are in dire circumstances, the father has had a tracheotomy (they cut the throat to insert a pipe to feed) because he has terminal throat cancer, he is being looked after by his daughter and they live in a one room apartment in Kirti Nagar. The Apso wandered in about a couple of weeks ago and was clearly a lost dog. They let her stay, but now the doc has said that the presence of the dog and pups in that congested environment increases the chances of infection for the father.
