male dachshund andhis beautiful companion need a home in Delhi

A 7-year-old show quality male dachshund and his companion, a 4-year-old female mixed breed, need to be re-homed ASAP, preferably together as their owner, a single woman, has terminal cancer and is admitted in a hospice in Delhi awaiting the end. Meanwhile the dogs are being looked after her maid and some kind frtiends and neighbours. But this is only temporary and the dogs must be found a home immediately. We're trying not to separate them, they're taumatized enough already. The person handling the adoption is Mr D'Souza, 981166153. I'd be grateful if you would forward this to as many people as you can.

Anyone seen Tipsy?

Dear Friends.. please read this and help find tipsy

Lost dog Tipsy in Del

hi friends sending you the poster as well as various profiles of my baby. how she got lost :26th april 2009 , 7 p.m. safdarjung enclave extn. opp. deer park, new delhi.
my servant brought them (two dogs i have)from the walk and was sitting outside our flat on first floor at safdarjung encl. to brush them, a usual practice after the dogs come back from the park. he had finished brushing tipsy and was working on my other dog. suddenly , tipsy heard a car honk and thought my son had come back from work and she ran down.
the servant ran after her and saw her till the corner of our lane which is around 50 meters.the rlane spreads out into three directions from this corner. being a little dark at 7 p.m., the boy could not make out which direction she went into, yet she hunted inall directions, but in vain. he informed my son who was in the office, after an hour . my son came home (15 min. drive from my place) with four staf and all through the night they went hunting, calling, lane by lane in green park, arjun nagar, safdarjung blocks 7,6 ,5 as well as the deer park ,rose garden i was at lucknow and was informed the next day.
i came back on 27th eve and ever since i have not spared a single place to my knowledge, from 3 a.m. in the morning till 8 a.. i am everyday going lane by lane calling out for her, lodged an fir with sarojini nagar police station, distributed fyers through news papers in all the nearby localities,as well as door to door distributions. posters put up at parks, schools, playgrounds etc.some body claims to have seen her at r k puram, but hasn't been able to see her again.
i have been going to rk puram the whole of last week. have visited dr. thareja, the astrologer at saket, thrice, who syas she is alive and tied up in a gulli , not very far from the place of her disappearance, on first or second floor. i repeat my visits and went to the vet hospital motibag again to enquire, where i bumped into brig. vijay who led me to both of you.

i am hoping against hope, that by anybody's luck, if mine is not accepted to God,then who-so-ever's luck the Almighty wishes, i get my child back and if i am not destined to get her back, then atleast to get to have dekko at her , to know where she is and how she is. i am totally devastated.

NEED HELP FROMEVERYONE. i live in bombay. tipsy was born and raised in bombay .had bought her to delhi four years back, as i had to visit delhi very frequently, thought of leaving her with my family here. she has been living here since last four years and had always resented my leaving her here behind.she seems to be punishing me for ignoring her wishes

Please help her.. in case you have any news... send in email / contact 9818201987

german sheph laila/pom new delhi

Thanks to the contribution from all you animal lovers out there Speedo & Shaina have both found homes and loving families of their own.

We are now looking for a home for a 6 year old german Shepherd female who is lovely and docile and who was abandoned by her owners on the road outside Friendicoes. She looks like a new mother and we think her last owner was a breeder. Any body out there who would like to give "Laila" a home please call on 9818201987.

We also have a very sweet young Pomeranian for adoption. She was found on the road by an animal lover who kindly brought her to us. If interested please call 9818201987.

This is an 8-year-old Bhutiya of a couple who moved to India from Nepal two years back. Now they are leaving the country and don't know where are headed (quite strange).

They are not very cooperative. They had even said that they will put the dog down if they no one comes forward to adopt him!

My friend went over to meet the dog. Bari, she explained, is a very very good natured dog. He is very friendly and very obedient. He is not a hyper dog and even licked my friend's hand :) (though she was a stranger).

He needs food only once a day.

This dog is a beautiful one. He has so much love to give. Please help us find him a home.

Interested people please call Anne Marie Singh on 98108 06485

There is a5- 6 month male Rotweiler up for adoption in DELHI. Highly pedigreed and friendly. He was a Japanese diplomat dog who left him at my cousins place after his tenure got over. That ass also put his older dog to sleep believe it or not. The dog is at my cousins farm but they want him to find a loving home or someone who can genuinely take care of him. The dog has been micro-chipped too and has been vaccinated too. Please help me to find him a good home.

Food for thought?

The United Nations warned Friday of a food crisis in Sri Lanka's north where some 250,000 civilians are trapped in fighting between government forces and Tamil rebels on the verge of defeat.
Amnesty International called on both sides to declare a cease-fire to allow civilians out and to let food, water and medical supplies be delivered to those who can't leave.

''A quarter of a million people are suffering without adequate food and shelter while shells rain down upon them,'' said Yolanda Foster, a researcher at the London-based rights group.

Two hundred and fifty thousand Sri Lankans do not currently have access to food.
The U.N.’s World Food Program wants to help, but can’t get supplies into the area. The government is saying it’s protecting civilians, but death tolls are rising. Amnesty International is calling for a ceasefire to get innocents out of harm’s way, but have been denied.
