IDA INDIA is a non profit grass root level animal protection organisation, dedicated towards establishing and defending the rights of all non - human living creatures.
It aims at:
- Propogating prevention of cruelties inflicted upon animals.
- Providing all necessary infrastructural facilities such as shelters, dispensaries, ambulances etc for the care and welfare of animals.
- Lobbying for the purpose of bringing about appropriate amendments to the existing animal protection laws in India, in order to make them more effective.
- Campaigning to secure legal recognition for animal rights nationally and internationally.
- Encouraging people to adopt a natural and humane diet, bearing in mind the Fundamental Duty of every Indian to have compassion for all living creatures.
- Promoting and implementing humane methods of Animal Birth Control and actively discouraging brutal extermination of stray animals.
- Creating awareness amongst people, so as to start a mass movement to fight against exploitation of animals in laboratories, for vivi-section, harsh training regimes to entertain in circuses or films ,manhandling of slaughter animal and poultry chicken, overloading of animal drawn carts, etc.
