Auction - Doing good for Japan

The posters (courtesy: Pandesign) as shown below are the 4 posters for
fund raising for earthquake -struck Japan.

The collected money could be directly sent to UNICEF or some relief agency that's working in Japan.

As the designer, Utpal Pande mentions
"Dear Friends, The money collected shall be handed over to charitable trusts working in Japan for relief work. The winning bidder shall be given all commercial print rights for the posters."

He may also choose to send the donation to a Relief agency of his/her choice (i.e.American Red Cross). The winning/bidder can chose to do that himself / herself and there isn't need to send money to Utpal Pande directly.
Once he gets a confirmation from an agency such as UNICEF, he shall send you the posters and also transfer copy rights to them. The winning bidder shall be given all commercial print rights for the posters.

Food for thought?

The United Nations warned Friday of a food crisis in Sri Lanka's north where some 250,000 civilians are trapped in fighting between government forces and Tamil rebels on the verge of defeat.
Amnesty International called on both sides to declare a cease-fire to allow civilians out and to let food, water and medical supplies be delivered to those who can't leave.

''A quarter of a million people are suffering without adequate food and shelter while shells rain down upon them,'' said Yolanda Foster, a researcher at the London-based rights group.

Two hundred and fifty thousand Sri Lankans do not currently have access to food.
The U.N.’s World Food Program wants to help, but can’t get supplies into the area. The government is saying it’s protecting civilians, but death tolls are rising. Amnesty International is calling for a ceasefire to get innocents out of harm’s way, but have been denied.
